Water protects the green left and a bunker protects it to the right. The green runs away from you. A lofted shot will do best to hold the putting surface and give you the best opportunity to score.

A good birdie hole. Dog leg right with a waste bunker running the left side of the hole. Miss right if you are going to. Center of the green here leaves you with a makeable birdie putt.

The easiest par 3 here at Thistle. Also known as “The YouTube Hole”. The same waste bunker from two lines the left side of this hole. Be wary of the chord grass. A ridge runs the center of the green. Be mindful of the pin location for optimum scoring.

A short but demanding par 4. A bunker left, with water left of that an accurate drive is a must. A large bunker protects the green short right, placement is key to scoring on this green. A large mound and ridge run through the green.

Dog leg right with water to the right of the fairway. Two large bunkers to the left of the fairway, require a controlled fade tee ball. Large rolling mounds add Scottish character to this hole leading to the green. Center of the green is optimal for scoring.

One of Thistle’s signature holes. A very long and difficult par 5 that requires two forced carries. The first is off the tee. A tree lined left side prevents you from cutting the corner while a bunker awaits you at the dog leg. After the tee shot comes a straight forward lay-up, but don’t go too far or you will be in an environmental area. The second force carry comes on your approach shot into a two tiered green protected by overhanging trees and a bunker.

The second of three tough finishing holes. A good drive here is a must. Thick trees and a creek run the entire length of the hole on the right. Two fairway bunkers interfere with your landing area. Accuracy is a must. Club selection and distance control are important on the approach. A two tiered green and a two deep bunkers that protect it await your incoming shot.

A tough finishing hole, and what could be an end to a good round. Favor the right side off the tee as water runs the entire length of the hole on the left. Don’t go too far right as thick vegetation lines the entire left side of the hole. After you navigate the tee shot a straight forward lay-up is next, but beware of the bunker lurking in the landing area. Your approach shot must find the right tier of the two tiered green and avoid the massive greenside bunker.
